Fountain at Nordstroms
The original footprint of the fountain outside Nordstrom’s was maintained. Demolition of most of the structure was the initial step in this remodel. A solid granite bench replaced a functionally ineffective curb, providing valuable seating, as well as aesthetic improvement. A monument to victims of September 11th was relocated and also encircled by the granite used on the new seating. Finally, the center fountain was completely refaced with a mosaic designed by the Mall’s architectural consultants and using glass tile. |
