Floor Medallions
The original design for the floor medallions located in the SW corridor of the MOA was to import prefabricated pieces from Italy . The lead time proved to be prohibitive, so Steve Harrison suggested creating an original design and waterjet cutting the pieces. The architectural firm heading up the project designed three different medallions, and hand selected the materials, including granite, marble and limestone. The six pieces consisting of three unique designs were hand assembled at the workshop to insure uniformity, and positioned in the floor by Blackhawk Tile and Stone’s installers.
